Den 25-årige italienaren Andrea Dovizioso går över från Hondas fabriksteam i MotoGP till franska Monster Yamaha Tech 3 2012. Han ligger för närvarande trea i mästerskapet och har tagit fyra andraplatser under säsongen med tre deltävlingar återstående. Ett imponerande resultat från en otroligt jämn förare, men avsaknaden av det där lilla extra som ofta leder till toppen av pallplatsen har saknats. Det i kombination med konkurrens från förare som Casey Stoner och Dani Pedrosa har med högsta sannolikt varit orsaken till övergången.
Andrea Dovizioso:
"I'm happy to have reached this agreement with Tech 3 for next year and I want to thank Hervé Poncharal for the opportunity he is giving me. I am excited to become part of Hervé's squad and to be teamed with Cal. I am sure this new challenge will be exciting, motivating and fun.
