Se nedan för ett utskicka kring problem med bränslefilter i USA. Enligt Melina på Aprilia i Sverige rör detta problem endast de hojar som är sålda i USA, då dessa har annan specifikation.
I Europa har man genomfört en återkallelese av Tuono under juli som rört bränsleslangar. Inga motorcyklar sålda i Sverige av Aprilia ska heller vara aktuella för den återkallelsen.

Problem: Piaggio is recalling 977 model year 2005-2007 Aprilia Tuono 1000 R and RSV 1000 motorcycle models equipped with Bitron SPA fuel pump/fuel filters. The fuel hose connecting the fuel filter to the fuel pump/fuel filter mounting flange may come loose. If this fuel hose connection is loose, or has become completely disconnected, then there will be a drop in, or loss of, fuel pressure to the engine. A drop in, or loss of fuel pressure to the engine, the engine would stall increasing the risk of a crash.
